So very pleased to be invited to be part of this exhibition. In 1873 John Muir wrote to his sister, "The mountains are calling and I must go and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." Every year thousands of Kansans, in both summer and winter, answer the call as well, traveling to the Rocky Mountains. Some go for fun but many return every year for personal renewal. Reuben Saunders Gallery is bringing the mountains to the prairie with this exhibition.

Every submission was reviewed by a panel of four judges from Kearney, Lincoln, and Omaha; the judging was done blind to ensure unbiased selections. This year’s exhibition features the work of over 90 Nebraska artists across 8 categories: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, ceramics/pottery, sculpture, multimedia/other, and a student division. It an honor to have my painting "Dreams of a Princess" included in this exhibition.
